request assist on finding good lift kit, 2001 E-350 Ext.Van

i'm glad to have stumbled on this web site. i've got an E-350 extended van that's just sitting there. which means i can throw money at it and won't get noticed. ( by my over burdensome wife ).

so i'm asking for some expert advice on what's the best mod if i wanna lift the van 3 - 4 inches. it's a 2WD, and i'll mostly be using it on paved roads. trips and such.

pls send me a copy of your suggestion(s) to my e-mail address, "MLCollier5895@yahoo.com" if you can. that would be a big help, as i'm not certain i'd be able to find my way back to my post. sorry.

thanks for the assist,

mark c.

My favorite kit is the J-flame customs kit. It seems to maintain factory suspension geometry the best.

Action Vans has a nice looking kit too, which seems to mostly maintain factory geometry:

Camburg makes a kit for the E-series too. Their preferred kit uses bent I-beams, instead of dropping the pivot. This has some advantages off-road (less body roll without increasing roll stiffness), but I personally dislike this setup for highway use (higher roll center induces jacking, which can cause unexpected handling traits).

Also, you could always add a solid axle with a lift using U-joint Offroad kit, then add a Transfer case later if you decide you want 4x4.

Always one of my favorite Ford colors. Kind of a metallic ice blue isn't it?

Action Van did my lift and put on my Aluminess bumpers. I'm very pleased with all they did and Larry is a great guy. Very easy folks to work with.

Another Action Van guy here. We did the lift ourselves and Larry helped us out through the whole process. He also supplied everything including the wheels and flares, etc. He carries everything you'd need to complete the project...

Sweet ride Lizard, not to hijack but since all of this goes together, which tires and wheel size are yours? I've got a long can too and want it to look right.

Thanks, man. They are 17" ATX wheels with 285/70/17 Hankooks Load Range E tires.

I think I could have gone one step wider, but everyone told me to avoid it as the size I have is highly suggested. I am VERY happy with the results and look.
