Scheel-mann seat question

I am getting some Scheel-mann Vario F's for my 08 Econoline Sportsmobile. My question is has anybody put them in their Econoline with armrest on both sides of the seat and will it still swivel.

There is not enough room for the SM arm rest on the outside with the modern door panels. The older style door panels maybe but I haven't had one here to check into that.

It would be cool if the arm rests were removable.

I recently had the Scheel-Mann Vario-F seats installed in my 2011 E-350 EB. First off, you can't have armrests on both sides, as they won't fit. Secondly, I found out that there are two different brackets for the armrests. One is a flat bracket and one has a 3/4" dogleg in it. I ordered my seats with the right armrest for the driver's seat and the left armrest for the passenger's seat. There was not an option during the ordering process to pick which bracket, and there was nothing I saw on the Scheel-Mann web-site to indicate there are two different brackets.

My seats came with the 3/4" dogleg brackets and the doors would not shut with the seats turned around. It took a bit of work to find out that I needed the flat brackets. Once they were installed, both seats would turn 180 degrees and both doors would shut.

Glen, Thanks, I spoke to Toby the rep for Scheel-mann and he told me that they changed the dash setup on econoline vans and the two arm rest will work on the older style but he did not know what year they changed the style. I sent him a picture of my dash and he said he thought it was the old style but not sure. I am still not clear if an 2008 is the old style or new style.

2008 is old interior, new front sheetmetal. 2009 is the first year of dash change

Still doubtful an outer armrest will fit and not hit the door panel, let alone allow the seat to swivel. It's a decently wide armrest.

Paul at Shoreline is a great guy, but unsure of how many E-Series they've done (vs Transit or especially Sprinter).
