Looking to get an E350 in the near future and trying to get a better idea of what the inside of the van feels like.

Preferably a CCV Top and RB, later model year. Conversion or non conversion is fine (I actually need a completely empty RB so I can do a lidar scan of the interior for modeling.) Also would love to see how different layouts feel, coming from my overland SUV.

I'm located in San Diego area, North Park. Let me know if I can come check out your rig!

I’m in San Diego and just finishing up my van. We just spent 2 months in Baja and the rig worked even better than we thought it would. The CCV pop top gives you so much room to spread out and we never felt it was too cramped for long term travel. PM me to let me know how to get in touch, you are welcome to check it out.

Free! Newer iPhone Pros (and iPads) have Lidar capability. There are a number of apps on the App Store that will allow you to make a scan for free, which you can then import into the cad of your choice. I did a test in my bedroom and was very impressed with the accuracy (+/-1cm in my testing). I definitely don't think its good enough to send parts right to a cut/print or anything, but is better then manually sketching the space in CAD and perfect for the visualization I want to use it for.

Now that I think about it, anyone with a compatible device and an empty van could make a scan and share it... would be greatly appreciated! Happy to walk someone through it.

I realize the range is going to be limited, but the drop in price of this type of sensor is amazing.
