The 6.0 takes a unique adapter for the remote oil filter setup. That part is only available from Sportsmobile West. I just did that change to my 6.0 van. $375 + tax/shipping for the complete kit, adapter, dual remote filter setup, lines and fittings, and oil filters. As I understand it, SMBW developed the remote filter setup to move the filters away from the front driveshaft.
I had the zerk fitting on the front driveshaft slip joint hit the oil filter housing and cause a leak. I didn't know at the time what caused it, but later figured it out. See the topic:

Then I removed the zerk fitting, and plugged the hole. While in Newfoundland we had filter/driveshaft contact again, so I made the change.
Amsoil makes the kit, and SMBW makes the special adapter for the 6.0 diesel. On the 6.0 in IH trucks or in F-Series trucks has the oil filter on top of the engine. That filter setup won't work in the van, so Ford has run oil lines down to the filter on the side of the engine. It may be possible to use a filter relocation kit for an F-Series 6.0 and eliminate the metal tubes running from the top of the engine to the lower side of the engine. I looked at it and decided not to remove parts from the top of the engine to see if the Amsoil adapter would work.
The kit comes with straight fittings for the adapter block. I chose to spend a few dollars more and get right angle fittings to route the hoses more cleanly.
The kit is available from:
