Re: Quigley conversion and fuel tankage
Add something else to the list. With 40 gallons, I would not worry about extra fuel storage. This would eliminate the need for a fuel swing arm on bumper.
Ramsey,
PMed you a message about the tank.

The one advantage to having a second source of fuel is if you ever punch a hole in your primary tank, you can patch it and then at least have a little fuel to get you closer to pavement.

Re: Quigley conversion and fuel tankage
I don't go nearly as far off road as a lot of folks here, but I still highly recommend keeping at least a 2-3 gallon can of fuel. I have a gas engine and a gas generator so mine is primarily for the generator but seconds as spare van fuel. On a vehicle I keep so 'equipped' for almost anything, a little extra fuel somewhere just makes sense. Before I put mine on a rack I just bungeed a 1 gallon gas can to the frame underneath. Sometimes it had fuel in it and sometimes it was empty but having a real gas can is almost important as the fuel itself in certain situations, i.e. helping a friend or bailing yourself out when you have to borrow fuel and can't buy a can.

Will these 40 gallon tanks fit a 2013 RB Quigley with SMB North under floor storage? If so I'll order one and find someone local to install it (Virginia).

Re: Quigley conversion and fuel tankage
If you mean rear underfloor storage it should. Your tank is mounted midship inside the frame. A quick look under your van should clarify this. Also, I would run it by SMB North, but I've never heard of underfloor storage anywhere but behind the rear axle.

Wait... What?! Since when?
I've got questions, and needs. This is something I want to have done if I don't end up selling my van... I'll be giving you a call.

Re: Quigley conversion and fuel tankage
Baja sportsmobile,
Will I have standard tank or cutdown one with an Advanced 4WD Systems conversion on my 2008 Ford e350 diesel eb50, from Salt Lake City, Utah?
Thank You, Doug.

I don't know for sure, but believe you have the 2wd output shaft and adapter extension. Just look under your van and see it there is from front to back - transmission, adapter extension, 4X4 adapter, Transfer Case - in other words four components. If so you will not be able to use the 45 gallon tank.
