Killer..... thanks. Did you have to add extra adhesive and where did you get the seal?

I am waiting for a seal from Ford to fix the rear door dust issue. If you look at your side door the seal is installed. But in recreational and cargo vans there is no seal installed in the rear doors. The images above show SM own fix. Ford's seal also has a rubber tube as well as the clip on portion. Should make a big difference.

With our recent Big Bend Ranch State Park trip, I was prepared to see dust coming in the back doors, but we had almost none. The back end of the van was covered in dust.
The aluminess box got no dust inside thanks to the new flange seal.
The rear doors had a tiny amount of dust in the lower driver side corner, but nothing like what I have heard about and was expecting.
I was pleasantly surprised.

As long as the heater or A/C is blowing I don't get dust. Roll down the window and it comes in throught the back doors. O-well. I plan on adding that extra seal like Jeffery did.

Re: Big dust coming in the back doors
We had a little problem at the door bottoms in real heavy dust conditions and now carry an old bedsheet which we dampen and place on the inside when in dust.

Re: Big dust coming in the back doors
I ordered a side door seal and installed it in the back doors. Since my van is a cargo van, it did not come with the rear body seal. Only the seals on the doors themselves were initially there. It makes a big difference now. Quieter and dry, with no dust as yet.

One more thing to check out on my van. Great info though.
I'm almost too scared to ask, but how much did the seal kit cost you? Is the van body already set up to accommodate the seals, or did you have to get creative?

Re: Big dust coming in the back doors
The seal fits perfectly on the spot welded body seam where the factory one would go. $75.00
No Mickey Mousing needed.
