Re: Trade 2008+ chrome grille & bumpers for black So Cal
You can powder coat your bumper into black. Find it out at your local shop. Or go to the local delivery company and trade bumper and grill. Usually business vans has black grills.

Powder coating also costs a decent amount and you'd be at least halfway to a new set of bumpers. Do you have the premium bumper package with the step bumper and backup sensors? The black bumper won't have those and to me they are a really handy thing to have. I have chrome bumpers for now, but am looking to go with Aluminess bumpers or something similar when I can afford it.

I don't have a step bumper in the rear but I do have the backup sensors. I typically don't like the added complexity of gadgets, but the rear sensors are quite useful. I'm assuming that if I find another bumper that I can drill holes and mount the sensors, but I have not looked closely at them yet. Does Aluminess have the option of provisions for the back up sensors?

Yes they do! They just incorporated my sensors on my new rear bumpers @ no charge. Works flawlessly. You're more that welcome to take a look at them before making the purchase. Cheers, Ray
