Re: Moab Area Ranger Shot; Suspect at Large

Romanticizing bad guys/gals is nothing new, but I'm with Herb towards the end.. sheesh. The he writes about seeing the Anasazi path and wall across the way- what couldn't be a more obvious place to have the "main cache" and ... and... wait, it's over?

Yeah, the author might be fishing for a book deal or a funded "expedition." He'll probably get himself blown up by an old booby-trap, and then sue any and all government agencies that should have saved him from his own stupidity.

I'd like to see all the cache's found just so no innocent people get hurt, and to maybe see if there were co-conspirators involved who should be charged.

That makes sense since the article ended the way it did.

Do I remember what I read correctly, kind of "I have the only copy of a map that was about to be shredded"?

Wonder if it cost him anything? Have you ever heard the phrase "this movie was based on true events"? Hollywood can fix anything.

Re: Moab Area Ranger Shot; Suspect at Large

I just checked google news to see if there was any updates to this story and found an article posted today.

A nice Christmas present for his family. I guess they still haven't found the shooter. Hopefully they will find the picked over bones if this particular f***nozzle in the spring.

It is good news. Unfortunately, a border patrol agent was killed Wednesday in Arizona in a shootout with bandits.
