Took advantage of a great day in San Diego and took my daughter to Mission Bay for a bike ride, on the way out from Fiesta Island I noticed a JK axle deep mud stuck in rising tide with several rigs trying to pull it out.
I pulled in, say and observed the show. By this time the stuck driver and his friends were trying everything to tug and pull the JK out to to avail despite my initial offer to winch assist.
There was a F250 diesel 4x4, a regular JK using just regular strap attempting the recovery efforts but zero traction. They were also sunk in.
Then another 1500 Ram 4x4 joined but same result.
After about an hour they were just about to give up. I then was asked to pull out the now stuck F250 then the JK. The JK was so dug in that my winch was dragging my rig and sinking it into the soft sand. We then anchored a Tacoma behind my rig, winched again and was able to free the JK.
The reception that I received from the crowds was kinda cool. Winch saved the day.
In the end, I was glad to offer my help and felt very satisfying that I was able to save that JK from being an artificial reef.
