Automatic Charging Relay. The year of your van would lead me to believe it has a diode based isolator. It is possible it was replaced but SMB, didn't start using the SurePower Separator until 2004. You need to check your rig and figure out if you have a diode based isolator.

I got a 200A from Nations Starter and Alternator. Plug and play. I didn’t need/want a monster 400A unit. They don’t have it listed on the site, but call them and they can set you up. Did the “big 3” and have had no problems with it.

Garage
I have a leece Neville ambo alternator that is 250a. It replaced a 275a dc power that had a bad rectifier. I sent the dc power to company and they fixed it. Mine was due to late starts charging of the dc power and trip deadline. The leece Neville is bigger but it fit and works well.

Thanks to all for the advice. I’m now confident I can buy a spare that will fit without any. modifications.

I don't seem to find a diode based isolator (blue color) under my couch or inside van. I'm guessing it would be inside the van versus under the hood ?

I have an IntelliPower PD9??? under the couch - I believe thats for charging BOTH batteries ??

It may be on the drivers side, under the hood buried under the brake booster and degas bottle.
