Refrigerator upgrade

The fridge in my SMB left a bit to be desired. I came up with the idea of installing an ice chest style fridge on a slider to maximize space and ease of access into the fridge. Ended up going with the VL60ProS and the slide for it from Iceco. Didn't get any pics of the actual process of installation but it's super straightforward. I'm very happy with the results! Lid opens from either side for ease of access for front or rear passengers and I can slide it out and reach into it without getting into the van!

Looks like the co-pilot can get into the fridge from their seat without getting up. Nice!

Nice upgrade! Looks like you left enough room to get by the fridge so it doesn't get in the way going from the cab to the back of the van so bonus points there...

Clean, I like it. The problem with the low counter SMB's is that there is no room for a bigger front door fridge without interrupting the one piece countertop and one of the precious drawers. A few have a taller Norcold front door fridge but this is a better idea for the standard 50 floor plans IMO.

Even the high counter models, the fridge space for mine is so narrow, the biggest fridge I could find that fit the space is a 45L. More or less okay-ish, but I am wishing I had room for a 65L... And that is on an RB11 floor plan. there is no way I could use a top opening fridge in this floor plan...

If I ever have to replace my fridge I'm definitely going with a slide-out chest or drawer-type. With a door fridge I have to lean over to see what's in it, and every time I open the door all the cold falls out.
