I used one in my sprinter for a couple of years and was very happy with it. I had the 76" long one with powder coated aluminum box that RB components sell. It was very comfortable and I had a lot of storage underneath in the box.
Has anyone tried or actually used something like this in their van? Seems like it could be a good way to have a bench on each side with some space in the middle.
We had a VW Eurovan that had that type of bed. It was never that comfortable despite us purchasing a 2” memory foam topper. So when we sold the Eurovan and purchased a Transit 250 which Sportsmobile outfitted with windows, swivel seat, awning, and a Penthouse top we installed a 53”x73” platfform bed. Much better for sleeping and much more storage underneath. I’d do it again
