After 3 weeks of use, here are my thoughts on the new Norcold model...

It runs very quiet. There is a small click when the compressor comes on followed by a low fan noise. However, It does not hold as much as the previous model. The freezer is quite a bit bigger which takes up refer space. The freezer door is also a problem since it opens from the bottom up and does not have a catch to hold it open. Also the door shelves have changed. They are now slightly deeper but not as tall so won't fit beer bottles... almost a deal buster right there. We found our previous dc0051 much more accommodating for how we use it. Hopefully the Engles is laid out differently so there is more cooled space and less freezer.

I had a somewhat loathsome relationship with the Noisecold (Norcold) fridge in my last van. It was noisy and in my mind ran too often. It was the biggest draw on my batteries as well. I pulled it out, cleaned it, insulated it, isolated it and it was still noisy.
After having a propane fridge I think I'm sold on it. No draw, quiet and no vibration.

Hello All,
Does anyone have experience with the Nova Kool? Look like the R2600 would fit.
Also, is the TF65 AC/DC an easy swap? Other threads seem like there would be some modification needed.
Thanks for any help.
