Re: Flat Tires, Air Jacks, Etc
That's perfect. Thanks! I've been bouncing this question around different threads, but am wondering if a 48" hi-lift is functional enough to get by with for our vans.

OBTW, also took the opportunity to use my ARB tire repair kit. Worked like a champ also. Never tried to repair a tire before. Directions were simple and easy to follow. Highly recommend adding one to your recovery kit.

I have the same jack although I haven't used it much and it hasn't gone through any abuse in the "basement" yet. However, the oil leak seems to be a problem that some have reported on reviews of this jack.

Flat Tires, Air Jacks, Etc
Well there you have it, I can confirm that leaking oil is an issue.
What I don't know is if the leaking oil is a problem beyond the mess. Assuming it still works, I was really happy with the jack's performance.
If it has any further problems, I'll be sure to post.

Re: Flat Tires, Air Jacks, Etc
I'd better pull mine out and test it. Sometimes you get what you pay for. I would be upset to see oil all over the SMB's floor.

One other question I'd like to ask is what people's opinions are regarding the hi-lift extreme and the top winch-clamp-spreader attachment. Does it make a big enough difference in regards to winching to justify the extra expense? I'm still a novice to all this stuff and am wondering what specific benefit the attachment provides vs. winching with a regular hi-lift....and apparently I'm still a novice on how to quote in the forum as I keep missing how to get the pretty white boxes around the quote.
Thanks,
Louie

It's got to start with

or
anything else and it will fail- delete a bracket:
