Re: Mercedes Benz 6x6 Cab Chassis
$44,502.67 USD wow! That is a smokin' deal! It has a frame much like the Iveco's I wish were also imported here. A creative mind like MGmetalworks, UJoint, Bajasportsmobile or XPCamper could do wonders with that. I would just put an aluminum box on it and slowly build it out.
I am a snow SMB'er, but I have a 6x6 Polaris Ranger for working in the woods and the middle axle articulates like that. You sand SMB'ers would love the 6x6.
(FYI, Doug, I used to listen through the interwebs to the ABC Darwin when Annie Gastin was on in the arvos. I don't know if you ever got her down in Perth, but what a personality.)

Re: Mercedes Benz 6x6 Cab Chassis
e350.
We get the Iveco Cab Chassis 4x4 here, but there about aud$85-90k
here, plus whatever you build, very solid, but way to expensive.
My 2008 e350 6.0 on ebay originally cost me usd$7,350(when the aud$1.00 got me usd$1.08),
from Missouri, leaving more leeway to play with, like rebuild engine $5,600.00, now I have new engine.
I have repainted vehicle Yellow. Advanced 4x4 conversion, Utah. And Sportmobile penthouse & interior
camper fitout with new modern led front & rear lights.
Cheers Doug

Re: Mercedes Benz 6x6 Cab Chassis
I think the fact that it's a Bank of Nigeria van is hysterical. What are they planning to do with that in Nigeria? The country is so unstable that 5 minutes outside the bank's parking lot and it would be riddled with holes and distinctly empty...

They are paying for it with the proceeds of all the email scams... heck, just last week I won $700,000 from Mr. Richard of Nigeria.

No, no, no, that's the van with my $7.85 inheritance from an unknown relative who died with no other beneficiaries, and I'll receive it as soon as I wire the bank $5000 to cover the expenses.

Re: Mercedes Benz 6x6 Cab Chassis
Mr Richard had a big week. He also won the lottery but just needs some help in claiming his money so I'm wiring him $2k for fees and expenses and he's promised to split his winnings of $2 million with me 50/50. I thought it was a great deal and I was happy to help a guy out. Hopefully they will be delivering our cash in one of those 6x6's.

Not without MONEY.
To build a top quality expedition rig on that platform would be well into 6 figures. I'd love to have that kind of coin to throw at every project I ever wanted to start but reality says otherwise.
I've been talking with some folks about a different but similar expedition vehicle platform and even bare bones builds reach past 100k without even trying hard.
