Donor truck tear down.

Iíve acquired a donor 2008 super duty, not exactly sure what kit Iíll be using but I also donít have much room so I need to remove what I can to consolidate some space. What all would be recommended to pull off to use reuse? I want to retain as much oem parts as possible. Iím an experience mechanic but this will be my first attempt to convert a van to 4wd. Any tips would be helpful! Also not sure whoís kit uses mostly oem parts, I emailed AJís in Oregon this morning to see if he sells just brackets. His vans seem to use a lot of oem parts. Thanks everyone in advance, Iím totally new at forums and Iím the new guy around here.

Moe,

So you are converting the 2008 to 4WD? ..or you are converting another van to 4WD and have a 2008 donor van? Does the 2008 have a full float rear axle? Many 2008 passenger vans have them.....that would be worth swapping.

The donor truck is a 2008 f350 minus the engine, I was hoping to remove what I can use for my 04 e150 and scrap the rest.

I'll check out that thread, thanks guys.

....ahhhh..around here a "2008 superduty" is an E-350 van....

One thing to note: The F series truck lug pattern is 8x170mm and the vans are 8x6.5"..all the way to 2014/the end.

If the 350 rear axle is a full floater and you're on a budget I would salvage that.

But as boy wonder pointed out you will have to run wheel adapters In the rear
