QuadVan Conversion

Yesterday AndrewST stopped by my house with his new van. And I had a chance to take close look at the QuadVan 4wd Conversion.

Nice to see you again Andrew. Too bad you were on such a tight time schedule and had to leave quickly.

I liked what I saw. Basically, Ford F350 parts are use with professionally made pieces to adapt to the E-Series frame. The brackets that mount the axle locating arms bolt onto the frame and drop the pivot point down to keep the axle alignment. The brackets that moung the dual shocks are well made and also bolt on. Special brackets to locate the brake lines and vacuum lines and keep them away from moving parts. The transfercase was tucked up above the frame crossmember. The front driveshaft is small and the slipjoint located to the rear and away from the oil filter housing.

At this point, if I were to do another 4wd van I believe I would have a QuadVan conversion. It looks that good.

Re: QuadVan Conversion

Ditto for me: if I could go back in time I would have had Quadvan do my conversion. In fact I might have to check with them about fixing my van.

Re: QuadVan Conversion

The short turning radius and the ride continue to impress me daily. (Quadvan)
