We installed a new Ventline unpowered vent (since the old one broke). The vent lid itself was just flexible enough to rattle up and down in cross winds. We ended up buying a Camco brand replacement lid which was thicker, made of better material, and had reinforcing ribs. It doesn't rattle.

Also on our Fantiastic Vent powered vent we have found if we close it manually, it will come loose and rattle. If we use the electric motor to close it, it closes tighter and stays tight.

I'm avoiding the huge protector/cover thing. It would raise our overhead clearance and seems like it would catch even more wind.

I got the cloth cover for my Maxxair. Makes a decent little difference when driving in crosswinds and other noisey times. Easy 5 minute install.

We got this same product and also had good results. In addition, I cut up a fitted section of insulated mylar to fit between the fan duct and this magnetic cover; a huge improvment!
