That makes sense. Are you concerned that you won't be able to reinstall it after drilling out the rivets? It's not as scary as it may seem. Window regulators are often riveted in place on modern vehicles, so I've had to do this sort of thing before. Just make sure you have a replacement handle, rivets, and rivet tool handy before you pull things apart.

A number of Ford dealerships have an online parts ordering system that is linked directly to the system their parts department uses. This is nice because you can use the diagrams to identify the correct part to order, plus it will show the latest/greatest PN if it has been superceded (case in point, spark plug recommendations for the V10). I have found this one pretty convenient to use:

Once you've entered your vehicle details you can look up parts using diagrams, check compatibility, and identify the OEM PN. For instance, your search for a door handle should have led you here:

I've bought from this vendor several times as well, but of course once you have the PN you can search for the best deal. Ford Parts Giant as recommended by JWA often has the lowest price, just watch out because they make up for it by charging more for S&H than most places.
Things get a bit trickier when looking for OEM parts that aren't stock on an E-series (i.e. 4WD). If you have a 4WD setup and need parts related to the front axle, you'll have to trick it by entering an appropriate vehicle type and know what parts are or aren't compatible. For example, my Quigley uses a front axle from a 2010 F350 so I can look up the PNs for the tie rods, but the panhard bar is custom because the frame rails on an E-series are narrower than an F-series (plus it's affected by lift, whether you have a drop bracket, 4-link arms, and so on).
