Extended Height Passenger Door

I saw this interesting van the other day while I was driving. I've seen the extended height rear and side barn doors before on vans with fiberglass tops, but this is the first time I've seen the front passenger side door extended as well. The driver side door was regular height.

Couldn't think of why this would be required, but I'm sure there's a reason. Figured I'd share with the group since it's van related...

It’s a paratransit van. Ambulatory riders boarded through the tall front door, and most had an extra welded step built on (instead of a running board). The side door would be the wheelchair lift.

You don’t see many because they cost as much to convert and operate as a e450 size short-bus.
