1999 E-250 EB 4x4 Sportsmobile - Low Mileage

Life changes have prompted me to sell my dream project van. This van was bought from a forum member here three years ago. When I bought, it had been meticulously maintained with low original miles. Everything works. It sat unused for two years before I began the 4x4 conversion project. It took nearly a year to obtain all of the parts and it was just completed.

I have not used the van before or after the conversion except for test driving the conversion. It is still in the condition I bought it in.

If I were keeping the van the only remaining items I was planning are solar panels / power system, new/upgraded house batteries and sound system / rear backup camera.

Van currently located in NW Montana.

I mean no ill respect as this is truly a dream rig to me (and I still am in the market) but everyone listing right now is coming into the market at probably the worst time in the past 3 or even 5 years. Anyone who thinks they are still riding the inflated pandemic wave of rig value has not been watching the markets as closely as some of us.

Anything above $50k (even diesel 7.3's) in this segment ends up sitting for months on end. Sportsmobile themselves will tell you how cold the market has gotten if you desired to sell consigned through them. I've seen this in the used motorcycle market as well which I participate in daily.

Example of this being an OG sportsmobile 4x4 converted EB 5.8L just sold out of CO for less than $27k. I want this, but I know if I paid even $50k for it if I needed to turn around and sell it in a month or three I wouldn't be able to get even $35-40k easily. Symptoms of severe economic downturn on the clear horizon and $7 gas which has no near end in sight.

I hope you get what you want/need and wish I was in the position to not care about market value and offer something reasonable...

Really appreciate the market feedback. The market is indeed soft and I will have to take a significant loss on this project in order to get it sold (With the new conversion, parts, accessories, wheels, tires, etc. I have >85k in it.)

That is an awesome van, if we were not remodeling our 1996 Falcon190 4x4 I would definitely be interested. Nice build, and best of luck with the sale, someone will get an amazing machine!!
