2011 E350 conversion van $30k

Starting to think about selling our 2011 E350 camper van. Really just thinking about it, not 100% sure if we want to. Just want to see what kind of interest there would be for it.

We've had it since 2020, and the van has 83k miles and counting. It was partially converted when we bought it, and we finished it up. It had 45k~ miles when we bought it.

Mechanically the van is in great shape, and needs nothing. It has the 5.4L V8 engine. Oil has been changed with 5w30 synthetic oil every 5k miles. Transmission fluid has been flushed and installed transmission pan with drain plug for easier flushes in the future. Air filter changed yearly. Tires have good tread. Steering linkages greased yearly, and brake pads changed. The van burns no oil, leaks no fluids. Both the front and rear A/C works great, have never had to add refrigerant.

Receiver hitches on both front and rear. The front hitch can be used for extra storage box or a generator. Bikes in the back. The van has never towed anything.

It's electrical capabilities rival that of a revel or much higher priced van, including
  • 460Ah lithium battery bank
  • 3kw AIMS inverter/charger with auto power transfer. It charges at 70 amps when plugged in.
  • 500 watts of solar on the roof (this gives consistent 20amp charge on sunny days)
  • 40 amp mppt solar charge controller
  • 40 amp dc-dc charger for charging off the van's alternator
  • 3.2Cu.ft 110v fridge.
  • Outdoor electrical outlet in the rear-passenger side of the van
  • 360° LED lights around perimeter of van
The inverter can run the fridge, the microwave, and the rear A/C all at the same time.

The back of the van:
  • Air conditioner in rear driver side window is a 5k btu and can be run off battery power all night for sleeping in humid hot climates like the south. The AC has a remote and can used from the drivers seat, you can even just flip it on for running in Walmart and keep the van cool.
  • The passenger side rear window was replaced with a pop-out window.
  • Both original rear windows come with the van if you want to remove the A/C for example you could.
Lets talk storage compartments:
  • under bed storage on the passenger side
  • under bed storage in the middle if not using the table
  • storage compartment in the rear
  • storage box in-between driver and passenger seats
  • storage cabinet under the sink
  • storage cabinets on the side of the bed
  • storage under passenger side table with access from the outside
  • storage on rear of roof rack.
The sink uses a 12v water pump. There is a fresh water tank behind the microwave, and a grey tank under the sink. So the water system is fully contained. There is a hose receptacle on the outside of the van for filling the water tank.

The awning is a thule awning that is easy for 2 people to set up.

The rear bed converts to a table, and is comfortable for 2 people to sit at with laptops or eat.

Think this sums up the van, just ask questions if I left something out. The van has taken us on many trips and never gave us a single problem.
We want to get 30k for it. Van is located in Louisiana

Are you looking for pricing feedback or just gauging interest in it?

I guess both? We want to start a sprinter/promaster build and need to sell this first, but then we have to go without a camping ready van for an unknown timeframe.. and I don't like that idea at all!

I think you are about $10k high on price. It's a nice homebuild with pretty good components from what I see but the market for E-series is tanking by the day. If you're building another van you might consider removing a lot of your expensive bits like inverter/batteries and moving them to the new build.

The low miles and newer body are a plus but it's getting hard to get $30k for a 2wd factory converted Sportsmobile (or other), especially without a high top/pop top and other overland type goodies like 4wd/bumpers, etc.

I wish it would tank faster, searching for a gently used somewhat low mile 2000-2003 diesel and every now and then I'll see a heavily used e350 with 200K miles on it and the person is like "has legendary 7.3l , money please 20k"

And it's like sorry but your junker isn't worth 15k more just because it has a 7.3l diesel.

And if it's being sold by a dealer add another 10k they want

Still seems to be some complete delusion on valuation of cars

Not Dave, just a slightly disgruntled van hunter
