All the manual says is Starcool III. Maybe SMB had to update the model when Ford changed their body style?

Turns out my problem is human error. I had neglected to (locate and) turn on the Starcool when driving and using the in-dash AC. Also, took me a while today to locate the Starcool fan switch, which was hiding some distance away from the Starcool thermostat. I would like to perform the routine maintenance - and would like to wash the A/C filter. I took off the air vent (2 screws) and then took out another two screws, but nothing seemed to want to come out. Any pointers welcome.
