For Sale- Fiamma f45 Awning

Please take this heavy, over engineered awning.

Came of an 06 E350 RB

Best offer.

It has some scratches, but everything seems to work fine. The awning is torn a little at the seem. Probably can be repaired. Please see pictures.

Located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Pick up only. No shipping.

Thanks

You sound like you were not a happy camper with it. What didn’t you like? What did you switch to?

It came with the Sportsmobile I bought. The last owner took it off and She made the right choice as it will pull out the body panels it bolts to. This is a common problem with these. I think there is someone on the forum that made different mounts that hook to the drip well that may help, but your still left with a bunch of the following issues.

1-These things are too heavy.
2-Mounts on these are terrible. Maybe the new ones don't bolt into the body panels.

3-They have a lot of moving parts and more things to break and store.
4-Dangerous. If something catches the awning frame on the trail it would rip it off and tear holes in your panels and destroy the side of the van.
5- Too expensive.

I was just going to have my owning awning made, but this company has exactly What I has looking for. I searched this forum and it looks like there are a few other people that have these.

What size awning?

fyi - we have found NOTHING better than the Fiamma for our use. Rain, snow, sun - one minute/ one person setup/retrieval, flexibility on where we can use it, takes up no space on the inside. 50,000++ miles and quite a bit of off-road and washboard - never been an issue with my Z Awning brackets.

Sell the Fiamma awning and get what suits YOUR needs.

I'll express the same sentiment as 1der on this; Fiamma has been mounted to my Van for 15 years, still in great shape & works flawlessly. No signs/indication of problems developing with the brackets installed by Sportsmobile (suspect 1der's brackets are just as robust) - Obviously some precaution(s) need to be taken (namely wind), But that's no different than any other awning. I especially appreciate their convenience in that one person can easily deploy (my wife does it most of the time!).
No doubt you'll find someone interested that's willing to take it off you hands.
