So I looked around quite a bit and the aluminess ones I believe attach to body. I just recently installed the weldtec rails which have brackets that weld to the frame then the rails bolt to them.

I love Aluminess products but have never been impressed with their nerf bars. Keep in mind they are nerf bars only, basically good looking steps. They are not at all rock sliders. They are aluminum.

I would definitely look for a steel frame mount type if you want all the amount of money these things cost (well north of $1k usually) to give you some protection.

Try Tim at Timberline Vans in Golden CO! Created some custom frame-mounted not too imposing rockslides for my 2014 E350

JWSpeaker: it’s the set with automatic defrosting function, unfortunately expensive but great lighting!
