What would you do? What’s it worth?

Hello all. Long time lurker and would appreciate some advice.

I have a 2007 Dodge Sprinter (low roof, short wheel base), 2WD gas engine with 27,000 miles. Sportsmobile Austin did (1) PH top, (2) windows all around, (3) cabinet with Norcold fridge, Danhard A/C, two drawers and flip up table and (4) swivel front seats. Shore power connection, some electrical distribution (12V and 120V) throughout, 2 long dead AGMs and a Tripplite Powerverter. $18k invoice from SMB Austin for upgrades. Importantly, there was no finish out to the rear of the van.

Long story, but I bought in 2013 with nearly no miles for a very reasonable price and had plans to finish out myself. 8 years on and nothing has happened (kids, bought some property and a travel trailer, etc.). I let a craft brewery borrow it for a while (hence most of the miles) and they let kegs roll around in the back, so side panels and wheel wells have some bruises, but all I think would get hidden in a proper buildout. I tore out some of the electrical to access the batteries and have not put back. Cannot swear to working condition of Norcold or Danhard, but they worked when disconnected.

Just did new tires and brakes all around, front struts, alignment, fluids and filters. Thought I had a deal to sell to a neighbor but it fell through. Van is in Dallas, TX and at this point is a registration/insurance/parking liability for me, but I think would be a great (and affordable) jumping off point for someone wanting to do a DIY buildout.

SO my questions for anyone who cares to answer:

1. Should I spend money to build out before trying to sell? Hate to do something that a buyer would undo/redo.
2. How would you market?
3. What do you think it’s worth?

Thanks for reading - I appreciate any feedback. Can post pics later if helpful.

To make this a proper classified, my (now dead) deal with the neighbor was for $17,500 and I would sell it for that in as is condition.

Some pics of what you are talking about would be super helpful. Then I can guide you as to whether to sell it as is.

Pictures, obviously. That being said, when I bought my van I wanted to build it myself. That way I get what I want/need, and not a lot that I don't want. If it were me, I would put it back together and sell it that way.

You mention some "bruises" in the insides that a build would cover. How would you feel if you bought hidden damage? I'm not saying you're trying to hide anything, but a buyer down the road might see it that way.
