Black Forest Fire: 1/3 Colorado Wildfires at the moment
100º temps and single digit humidity- we saw a plume coming home yesterday but it's about 10 miles away, over a ridge. Seems to be under control today, however many homes in Castle Pines were lost.
Brutality hot out there, hope everyone in Colorado is safe.

The Midwest has tornado alley. You must be in the wildfire zone. Not sure which one would be worse. I hope the wind is blowing directly from your house to that smoke plume.
Stay safe and keep your forum friends posted which direction that fire is moving.

Re: Black Forest Fire: 1/3 Colorado Wildfires at the moment
I flew through Denver on Tuesday noon... never left the terminal while waiting for connecting flight but that 2 minutes in the walkway leaving the plane was enough for me. Yes HOT! Stay safe to all affected or close by. Pat

Any news from Jage? I was watching a news report and it looks like the fire was headed for Franktown and then shifted east and south away from that area.

Re: Black Forest Fire: 1/3 Colorado Wildfires at the moment
We're safe, the van is unblocked and ready to roll just in case but for now we're safe.
I've been playing wild west with a bandana, the smoke has been pretty thick sometimes. I know the fire doubled Wednesday taking the toll to 360 homes and two dead, but it is yet over at least one ridge from us. Another 1000 homes got evacuated so the county is staying on top of it.
So we're hickory smoked, but safe. We'll have to see what the winds bring tomorrow.

I wouldn't think that there was much left to burn after the fire a year or two ago.
