cell phone service
For those of you that have traveled all over the country, have you encountered any problems with your cell phone service? is there a consensus as to which provider is the best for someone traveling all over the country and even internationally?

Re: cell phone service
I've found and heard from many others that Verizon is the best and probably the most expensive. I travel worldwide and their international roaming service is excellent, but again, very expensive. The worldwide data, if you have a blackberry or other pda phone, works well, too. Hope this helps.
Best-
Steve

Re: cell phone service
I travel around the country quite a bit. I had Verizon and switched to AT&T to get an iPhone. For the places I go, I would say Verizon was better. Not enough to overcome the advantages of the iPhone, but better.
Rumor has it that iPhone is coming to Verizon. When it does, I will be heading back to Verizon with my iPhone.

Re: cell phone service
They keep saying that, and then Verizon came out with the Droid. To me that doesn't speak to them getting the iPhone.

Re: cell phone service
I just got a Droid Eris and it has lessened my desire for an iphone. It's a pretty nice phone.

Plus I don't have to switch to ATT!, a genuine bonus as there's no ATT service here.
