Towards the end of Hatteras, at the edge of Frisco. What was supposed to one night, turned out to 3 days. 1st evening a squall came through with sustained 40mph winds & gusts up to 60mph, then suddenly 20+ kite & sail boarders showed up - some were fearless, it was a sight to see! At that point we met some real fun and interesting people, which prompted the longer stay.

My awning is vacationing over there this weekend, I assume bolted to the rig of it's new owner. I need to get back over there.

Beautiful area. I fish so very interested in the stream you were "fording" and the lake you were camped near.
I just returned from Meeker, CO and White River my new love in CO.

@HIGHCOUNTRYMIKE,
South Beaver Creek and Blue Mesa Reservoir. Two diametrically opposed areas in the same rough vicinity. One an industrial CG, the other a remote off-road paradise.
South Beaver Creek, is known to support cutthroat trout as well as suckers and dace. Its not likely a great fishing stream IMO...more a "cow" creek. However, Blue Mesa Res is huge and a big fishing draw. But it's a bout 60' low this year...but it seems you can drive down on the "beach" in a number of spots which might be fun. The SBCreek is in an ACEC within the Hartmans Rec Area. I much prefer this over the Res CG environment but the fam likes some water activities mixed in.

Good stuff. If you hadn't said I was going to guess Medano Pass. Not far off though.

Thanks Clark,
Interesting how one drainage is dry and the next is over flowing which is the case of the White River in and around Meeker, CO
I'm going to research the areas you listed.
Good intel and I hope to take advantage..........
Had springs in the TOP up and Down motion adjusted and I have new life another 10 years of lifting and closing the POP TOP.

HIGHCOUNTRYMIKE, Interesting on the spring adjustment. What were the issues? I’m sure mine could use some love. My top comes down all cattywampus and out of sorts even somewhat when level. Unmanageable when unlevel. Sort of frustrating. Wonder if tension of springs has any influence over that. .

Yeah. I know the Medano pass area. Not far as a crow flies but 4-5hours drive from Hartmans due to the GSD NP. Good country up there but much more alpine.
