For any of you interested in the blooming cycle dates for California Wildflowers , you might enjoy planning your Spring trips around the anticipated bloom dates . Call and be patient , it takes several rings 1 (818) 768-3533 . This is courtesy of the Theodore Payne Foundation .
They can also be contacted at I apologize for not posting this information earlier , but I was unaware of many of our members interest in our indigenous
plants and their cycles . You can also visit their local garden's where great information is available on our native flora , address is on the web site . Enjoy !

I'm of the opinion that most SMB owners appreciate the beauty and spectacle of nature while at the same time enjoy adventure and fun. There is just so much to see and so many places to go.

Thanks for all the great references. Planning future trips is half of the fun!

I rely on news from Desert USA for much of what I know of blooming wildflowers:

I will have to see if there is a similar site for wild flowers in the Northern Rockies.

Thanks Greg, I always used the same site as Ed but the more info the better. We missed the bloom in DV this year...we were early but it was anticipated. Great site! It's marked.
