SEMA was great and the W.A.V.E. (Wheelchair Accessible Van for Expeditions) was a hit, but now it is time to get down to the real reason the rig was built....taking the disabled out for epic adventures.
Disabled Explorers is offering up some free space to a person with physical mobility issues to join Overland Training for an Alumni trip Nov 29th to Dec 5th. The rig has a wheelchair lift, power transfer drivers seat and hand controls along with sink, fridge, stove, toilet (folding hospital style) and more.
Ideally the person would be new to the pleasure we all have of getting into remote areas with our rigs.
Disabled Explorers is based in Phoenix but it would be possible to pick up a person anywhere in Arizona or Southern California.
If you know anyone who would like to join an amazing group of travelers please have them contact me at info AT disabledexplorers DOT org or six 02 four 51 six 079
thanks everyone
