Fresno to Sacremento (near) to Reno to Vegas to Home...

There was a lot of stuff to play in but unfortunately I was on business looking for a place to move to. Here's the long boring vacation photo version, with extra SMB shots thrown in.

So, this is smog…

Nice neighborhood.

The Texas folks were at Fresno (Peter blue&white, ?? black shirt, Charles (owner) white, Lynn (used sales)

I noticed at the meet that a few vans had these screws throught the cabinets, must be a stock thing now.

"Directing the fan flow"…Lake Folsom was 90º the first night… should have bought starcool

How I spent my summer vacation. This time was the A/C compressor

All the shade and swimming I could find to stay cool.

Unfortunately the swimming was a half mile to and from.

My first ever plug-in

It's not hot… it's just a good time to appreciate all those other times I had A/C...

And in the morning… that's not good

I interviewed here…

There was gas but no diesel in the Bakery parking lot

Climbing to Lake Tahoe, thank goodness I can drive up a mountain without the engine light coming on

50 into Tahoe

Sunset in Crystal Basin

On the way to camp

Union Valley Reservoir

View from camp in the morning (Camino Cove). The benefit of no fee camping, you can just move when the red car blares rap music all morning (I hate any kind of music while camping, especially loud music)

The reservoir in front of some people's campsites

Cooking Risotto from a box

Glam Shot! SMB should hire me to do adverts.

Walk on the beach

Some people just don't respect the difficulty of getting here on a dirt road

I didn't play much, there are legal two tracks all over the Basin and I could have camped anywhere (AFIK)

This is the road out of the campground

And back on pavement this…

Blown belt internally

How I spent my summer vacation part 7, this time the tire. Luckly I limped here.

Where to move, where to move…

I saw a lot of people on the way to burning man. All kinds of rides.

Shot on the shore of (I think) Walker Lake. There were people camped ad hock on the beaches.

More people on there way to Burning Man. I stopped to help tune their carb. It was funny to see the hippie lady on a cell phone trying to get AAA or a mechanic… but the treatment of the wrecked van was pretty cool.

Random scenery on the way to Las Vegas

Sunset

Another Photo Op for the SMB

Same Sunset w/ Sky

Parked in Beatty near another van

Turned out not to be a Sportsmobile

Another poser shot

It's hard to find somewhere to enjoy lunch in Las Vegas. 14 acres, filled with trash!

South of Vegas, a nice big dirt flat. I would have played but I don't trust my tires and I'd lost too much time already

Little Arizona sprinkle

And the rainbow

And finally home, very late, but home

At the risk of dredging up an old topic...

Cool Photos!
