Moab the week of June 22 anyone?
Taking the SMB and hitting Moab. We're actually riding the trails via motorcycles, not the SMB, but let's not let that stop us from meeting up. Currently, the plan is to camp between Horse Theif and Mineral Bottom (just outside Canyonlands) on the 22 and 23rd. We'll hit the WRT on bikes the 23rd. We'll return to Moab on the 24th and likely camp at Moab Rim for the rest of the week, leaving super early on the 28th to come home (like 3AM early).

Re: Moab the week of June 22 anyone?
Well, you guys suck! I did see a Jage-like SMB at the Brew Pub in Moab around last Tuesday, but other than that, no other Sporties. Ok, first a pic:
Here's us driving up Mineral Bottom Rd. (We camped at Horsetheif Bottom for two nights -Great sights and views, horrible mosquitoes).
Rode the White Rim trail on our dirtbikes (the usual Muscle Man Arch shot):
Used the Sporty for camping and a few little romps around some areas. However, we were in Moab for one thing and one thing only:
Been home for less than 24 and I'm already thinking about the next trip to Moab.

You shouldn't have said anything.
Just let us go on believing you were filming out of your SMB.
Then I could say, see Dina, if he can do this in this SMB we can too.

This took a little work to get to as we hopped on (and off) Behind the Rocks Trail near Picture Frame Arch.

It's Musselman Arch, not Muscle Man Arch.

I don't care how its spelled. I'm just happy it was still standing after that portly fella was running around on it.

Re: Moab the week of June 22 anyone?
The blood suckers along the Green River were Minnesota quality. We burned flares and smoked cheap cigars to keep them at bay. I kept the heat at bay by drinking my weight in beer each day. I can't think of anything better.
We also did three nights at Moab Rim RV park. Clean and quiet. There is something to be said for unlimited showers and flush toilets after a couple of days boondocking with the 'skitoes.
However, and this is key, most beer you buy there is only 3.2%. With that said, I'd highly recommend you bring your own liquid supplies. Also, you might buy a fan for the van if you don't have AC. I bought a little Lasko Breeze Machine that did wonders on those hot evenings when you are trying to sleep:
