The blood suckers along the Green River were Minnesota quality. We burned flares and smoked cheap cigars to keep them at bay. I kept the heat at bay by drinking my weight in beer each day. I can't think of anything better.
We also did three nights at Moab Rim RV park. Clean and quiet. There is something to be said for unlimited showers and flush toilets after a couple of days boondocking with the 'skitoes.
However, and this is key, most beer you buy there is only 3.2%. With that said, I'd highly recommend you bring your own liquid supplies. Also, you might buy a fan for the van if you don't have AC.
