Mojave Road Guide
Last evening while laying out a cross country adventure for friend/neighbor on the Mojave Road I realized what a great
reference was available in the ( Mojave Road Guide ) by Dennis Casebier, available thru Amazon or Desert USA .
You will find information in this book that is not available from other sources and is an absolute must have for any of you planning a trip to this great area .

Re: Mojave Road Guide
If you are referring to the Cima Dome Phone Booth it is no longer there , unless the phone company and government relented their earlier decision . All three of my grown children called someone from that phone when they were little .

Re: Mojave Road Guide
it's a very strange cast iron megaphone looking thingy on top of a small mountain in the mojave. It weighs a couple of tons and no one knows what the heck it is or how it got on top of the mountain.

Re: Mojave Road Guide
Yes, the phone booth is gone. Has been for several years. The megaphone is on my list of places to see. It takes some hiking to get to it.

Yes I did. I bought it. For 30 bucks I might as well have pictures and narrative to go with my detailed maps of the area.
