Quick Surf Trip

Headed to Jalama for a quick surf trip. Surprisingly it wasn’t to windy, I was able to use my awning which is rare for Jalama . Good surf and Jalama burgers.

Thanks for the pics. I used to drive to the "J" a few times of a week for windsurfing. Steve, the owner of the Jalama Store, was my across-the-street neighbor in Lompoc.

That foggy weather this time of year is a little unusual. The windiest day I ever remember was my Mom's birthday June 5th. So we are still well within the windy season. I have a couple of pics from years gone by (the last photo was probably 2010).

The first pic is when it is really windy (like 50-60 knots). I'm not standing in the water but coming down from a big jump.

The next one is punching through a south swell with onshore winds. You have to round up at the last second to get through which is why I'm so rounded up into the wind.

The little snapshot was actually managed to get into the Lompoc Recond (local newspaper).

The last pic is one of the other locals catching some swell.

Can tell you're into comfort...from the looks of it you're using the OZTENT King GOanna chairs. Brings relaxation to another level - most comfortable chair we've ever owned...also carry a pair of Nemo's. Chairs are much like investing in a mattress, an amenity that should exceed expectation.

I’ve been on a couple brush fires back in the day in SB with the Sundowner winds, that’s no joke, next level winds.
