Alluminess Ladder

I just got my Aluminess ladder for the drivers side of my RB 4X4SMB but wanted to see if anybody has a similar configuration that I have and see if they have some thoughts.

Two issues.

1. The joint in the rain gutter is right where I want to put one of the upper brackets and doesnt easily fit in the gutter bracket. Has anybody else experienced this and if you have what did you do?
2. I have the furnace and water hookup on the driver side and wondered if anybody else had put a ladder here with the same heater/water configuration. An inch or two left or right may make a difference but I am bounded by the wheel arch and the bumper so not much play. Id rather know now Vs when I am out and camping and I drilled the holes.

The attached pics are with the ladder just temporarily on.

Any help, much appreciated

Thanks
