Pantry sliders

Added second set of heavy duty drawer sliders (accuglide) to the pantry so it stops falling out of the tracks. Tip: Use a triangle to square the sliders with the front of the pantry. Use a dremel tool to cut vertical slots in the cabinet and drawer (pantry) pieces so its easier to position the sliders. Use washers to space sliders appropriately for a good fit. I seem to be following in the Badgers footsteps, next step is to reinforce the front latches for the poptop and then fix the corners where the canvas and plywood are pulling away from the FRP top. Badger site has details.

Re: Pantry sliders

I'd love to see photos of this!

I'm not sure if this is the same problem as you describe, but I had an issue where the large under-counter drawer would sometimes come unlatched when driving (left turns) and slam fully open against the slider stops. Eventually the slider stops failed and the drawer fell out. I fixed this with a rope tied behind the drawer limiting its travel (and by adjusting the latch).

I had that same problem with a large, heavy drawer. The latch was changed to the round style used on the pantry and it has not opened (by itself) since.
