I'm also interested in this. I was hoping I could mount it behind or in front of my cargo box on crossbars.

I installed a Maxxair April 2020. The most difficult task was dealing with the dip in the front of the top as pictured. Install was straightforward, like 86Scotty. I installed at the same location where original light was installed, so power was already there. Measure, remeasure and measure again, then cut.

I did disassemble fan before install and rattle can painted it all black.

Big thank you to my surfboard shaper, "Fly" Pierre Van Swaye, for his help!

If this doesn't post correctly, i apologize in advance. Not really a tech guy...

Love this fan!!!

I do not have the van anymore but I'm sure it is fine. I have put these in lots of vehicles including a few SMB's and the Transit to the left (my avatar pic). I put two in it.

I would recommend the Maxxair over the Fantastic Vent Fan. It is a far superior product and you can use it in wet weather. If you go for the 7500 model it is remote controlled with a variable speed fan. Completely silent on the lower speeds, much different than Fantastic.

I just bought yet another one of these and will be installing it in my work truck this weekend and I have another on tap for a pop top truck camper that I have ordered.

Obviously, no regrets on these fans.

Thank you, kindly sir! I think I’ll probably do something similar.

I kinda need to stop skimming through threads or this top is never going to be on the dang van!

Can’t get ahold of that NPC Solar Seal here locally, fast enough. Can you recommend anything else that’s similar? - Home Depot is close by and quick.
