Side ladder stove/grill stand mock up

This isn't finished, but I wanted to share the idea. I've been trying to think up a way to mount my grill stove (Thanks again Jage!) to the van when boondocking or camping without a picnic table. I hate grilling on the ground. I got some cheap, light ladder hangers from Lowe's the other day and mocked up some wood pieces to hold it up. I have some square aluminum tubing I'll be using on the finished product. I'm thinking 2" or so small bolts and wing nuts to hold it all together where I can break it down and store it easily.

Yes, this would be much better on a right side ladder, but it depends on the circumstance too. On a left ladder gets any grill smoke away from the doors.

I like the idea.

Is the ladder/stove stable as people climb in and out of the van? Would hate to see the cook get a lap full of hot bacon if the fry pan took a sudden shift.

Did the same with my camp chef oven/grill. Extremely convenient and quick to deploy. I really like having it on the passenger side and have never had any issues with smoke.

Thanks Tapatio. You just gave me an idea of how to improve mine. Those bike hooks on the rungs will work better.

I was thinking I did not want a side latter, but after seeing these, I kinda want one now. I have the same grill and love it.

Both solutions are very elegant.

Just noticed your furnace exhaust vents behind your ladder. On cold days you could get double the heat from the stove and heater.

I was thinking about all of the uses I had for a ladder long before I decided I needed it for a ladder. Racks for stuff like this, a place to hang clothes, a tie off for just about anything. I would really love one on the passenger side too.

Was looking at your setup and the first thing that came to mind was to hang a light on the ladder above the stove. Wold be handy for cooling dinner in the spring and fall when it gets dark early.
