I picked the Supercoils 3inch (3000lbs rating, translated to 150lbs more weightl). Sorry I forgot which I used: either E-350 Super or F-350. Most likely the E-350 Super model. I still have the supercoil box somewhere with the old springs so if I spot it, I'll make a note of it.

No Issues with Deaver, they'll adjust and repack your existing or Deaver leafsprings for about $~300.0 total for right and left. Done in about 2 hours. Squeaking from the leafsprings are completely gone..

My Sporto runs more heavy on the drivers side with the propane tank, water tank, fridge, tranferflow gas tank and fridge. They did a good job evening it out.

Update: After putting the winch last week, I re-measured the travel and it's at about 3in versus 3+ inches. Winch weighs extra about 90lbs more.

The synthetic winch rope and aluminun fairleads are on their way for Christmas to replace the steel winch lines.. that should make it a bit lighter again.

I'll post some pics when I can.

NRL,

Thanks for the info. New springs and uprated shocks are on the to do list for 08. I have been knocking around the idea of redoing my front suspension as well. I may do the springs and shocks first then see how it goes.

Cheers,

John

NRL,
any further updates on the new front coil springs? Now that you have a few miles on them have you noticed any improvement in the overall ride- is it any different aside from more travel? Smoother perhaps?

Also, I assume it raised the front end a little bit - correct? Still on the fence about getting new springs...

thanks

It's working out great! No complaints.. I still have about 3" of travel before I hit the bump stop after the new winch got installed.. lost about 1/2" of travel with the full weight. Can't complain about the extra travel since it's a Quigley and it had like 1 1/2inch of travel (to bump stop) when it was stock.

The winch came with the steel winch line with it and you can just feel the weight of the steel winch line.. about 60lbs extra.

I replaced the steel winch line with a synthetic winch line and it's quite a bit lighter.

It is alot smoother and less bouncy (even less with the winch in).
Weight of the "steel bumper" bumper is about 120lbs plus 50-60lbs for the winch, and the new winch line maybe 10-15lbs.. heavy.

Overall not bad for being heavy.
Personally thumbs up for the SuperCoils from SuperSprings!
