Anyone know an on-line source for those plastic fridge door shelves? Seems mine has suffered fragmentation

For my fridge, it looks like it might be part 422508810, so try googling Norcold 422508810. But make sure it's compatible with your fridge.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Replaced my pyrometer and transmission temperature gauges. The pyrometer's needle had begun to stick, act erratically and wouldn't read over 1000°. I went with Auto Meter's factory Ford matching units. They look very sharp, especially at night.

The old gauges were also Auto Meter, so I figured I would just be able to plug the new ones in. No such luck. I had to run harnesses for both of them--what fun!

Very happy with the results. Still have trouble getting over 1000° though, with my PowerMax turbo and custom tune it just runs too darn well.

Finally bit the bullet and got the insulated cover for my Dometic cool/freeze. Installed it and hope it helps shorten run times for my compressor.

Did this a few days ago but still feel like it is fresh in my mind.

Upgraded to the V8 SSBC Big Brakes with Drilled and Slotted Rotors.

Best addition ever? .... No probably not, but they do add significant stopping power thar be no question about that.

Finely go to around to putting the clean dishes back in the van from last months trip. When I did that I found that ants had move in and were nibbling on a piece of chocolate hat I had left on the counter. Oops.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

I finally changed my fuel filter (v10 - gas) for the first time. I don't know if/when it was changed previous to me owning the van, I put ~ 15k on it.

This is the residue from draining the filter into a previously clean (slightly greasy) oil drain pan:

Silt, metal shavings and a couple small rocks (large sand grains really). Yikes! Good to know the filter was doing it's job.

I cut up the old filter, and it's pretty brown and waxy.

The combination of the places I take this thing, and the fact that it gets 12 mpg at best, means that I've gotten fuel all sorts of places that I might have skipped with other cars. I'll do another change in 12 months / 5k miles and will see how bad that looks.

I have not driven the van yet (and may not for a couple of days), but it did fire up on the second try (re-priming obviously) and it seems to be running fine. No codes or any unhappy signs due to the momentary lack of fuel pressure.
