Re: Z's Fiamma Awning Brackets

Zeta, sent you a PM as well, any more of your brackets available, I am interested in a set, I am looking at adding an awning soon. I am hoping that they will fit with CCV's high profile top, read through the posts and sounds like some had to modify the brackets for certain installs. Anybody have the new style Fiamma has put out, the F45s to replace the F45Ti, sounds like brackets are compatible.

I won't be making any more, but have enough parts left for two or three more sets. PM me if interested.

Re: Z's Fiamma Awning Brackets

How about providing a template so I can make a set, or have them made. Can the SMB brackets be modified with a back plate to mount to the gutter?

I do not believe the SMB brackets can be modified. However, they would work really IF they were through bolted into the interior of the van and a backing plate were used.

Continuing to manufacture them and making them available for sale would be the best but, barring that, providing specifications and templates would be a great gift to the community. And now that I think of it, if Zeta is still upside down on this project, selling copies of the specs and templates seems like a reasonable thing to do.

How about it, Z?

Double down on that idea. I want to first of all thank Tom for going through the effort of getting them designed and built. They are awesome and I would have paid more had I known he was upside down on the project. Tom is actually the 2nd person to have taken this project after "Eli's awning brackets" went bust.

Too bad SMB didn't see the value in this design vs. their crappy, rusty, drill holes in body brackets . And for those of us who have passenger models with large windows these are the only game in town. I have fabricator friend that might be interested in taking this project on. Let us know Tom.
