200 Ah House Battery Recommendation?

Hi all -- I see a lot of great advice on batteries and isolators in this Forum and I'd appreciate your guidance on replacing our 12v 200 Ah house battery -which is clearly at the end of its life. I've started by looking at Mighty Max, Renogy, MK Batteries, and Deka -- but would appreciate your feedback and experience. The battery rides in a rack under the chassis -- located beneath the side doors -- so without dropping it I haven't been able to look at what kind of battery it is.

Thanks for any input. Rick

Is it a AGM 4D? I use Lifeline brand, was original to the SMB. On my 3rd unit now on my13 year old SMB.

I also like Lifeline (worth the cost IMO) but there are several out there that might work well for you. Deka does make a good battery. The main thing is to make sure the new batteries dimensions give you a safe clearance in the battery box or even fit. Same with the type connectors, make sure it's a similar fit and you don't have to modify something.

My mighty max 4d is holding strong. Had to bend my tray 1/8" to make it fit.

Thanks so much!

Thanks guys for the great advice -- it may be best for me to drop the battery tray and get a match that fits -- than to take rough measurements and keep my fingers crossed -- especially about the battery posts. very helpful!

My cables are long enough, that no matter where the posts are, I could make it work.
Even with an exact measurement, don't put much stock into manufactures specs. They were 1/8" off on mine. Maybe you could call and have someone physically measure the battery.

Thanks everyone for your great advice.
I ended up getting a Lifeline 200 Ah AGM replacement -- and after getting into it I discovered it's what my existing battery is now -- so it should fit perfectly. There aren't a lot of distributors here in Colorado -- and I didn't want to buy something this important through Amazon (at $799) -- ended up getting it from BD Batteries in California -- for $614 with free shipping. Learned along the way that Batteries Plus stores will let you bring in used batteries like these and will recycle them for free. Rick
