Very, I've been putting this off until the last minute and even seriously considered cables from the corners down to the edges of the PH instead going through the roof- gluing, keeping a lose panel, mounting it on the SIDE of the van ( ), smallish panels to either side of the fantastic fan in front... seriously anything to avoid putting holes in the PH.

HOWEVER, Mike (Ford_6L_E350) stopped by and his solar was attached very close to how I'd ultimately considered attaching, by using the existing hardware and square aluminum stock. About an hours after he pulled out of the driveway I made arrangements and picked up the panel that afternoon.

What can I say, turns out in person is 10x as expensive as being on the site...

Jeremiah, I really hope you are doing a detailed write up of mounting/installing the solar panel. The main reason is that I'm waiting for you to finish up so I can start on it myself. I'm still unsure of how I want to mount the panel to our roof. The 3M heavy duty adhesive is definitely appealing. Good luck.

Thread bump because I need the information.

Jage, can you be specific on how you attached your solar panel to the existing roof hardware? I am thinking about mounting mine on the hardware and do not want to reinvent the wheel. Also how has the mounting system been holding up? Any strain on the hardware? Anything you would do different?
