Aluminess box leaking

Our rear Aluminess box leaks when it rains. Doesn’t seem to be anything obvious. The only thing we can think is that the door seal is bad but it looks okay. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm not in front of my Aluminess box at the moment but I think you can adjust the latch for more preload if it's a typical RV hatch type latch.

Too much preload will be obvious .....you won't be able to fully turn the latch when closing.

I figured out where it was leaking. Duh, run some water over it and watch. It’s leaking through one of the grommets on the back where it attaches to the swing bar.

Yeh, kind scarry when the obvious just seems to elude you - gets worse with age (talking from experience! )
My box leaks a little as well (but it's the older version). I just drilled five 1/2" holes (2" in from each corner and one directly in the middle).
Holes will serve a dual purpose soon; Box gets pretty hot on the inside when in sunlight, so I also purchased (and hopefully installing his week sometime) a 4pk of Marine cable vent covers to be mounted on the back/top of my box to allow some venting since I keep fuel additives inside along with other stuff. The 5 holes i drilled in the bottom of the box allow any liquid accumulation to drain, and air to come in. The vents across the top/back allow the hot air to escape.
