Re: Flash lights
I've got some very bright flashlights, but when camping most useful, by a landslide, is a headlamp. Read with it, work under the SMB with, walk with it, cook with it, play cards, etc. -- all with two hands free.
I have two - a Zebralight and a Surefire Minimus. Both get a lot of work around the house (and especially under it).

terralux if I remember. Only 300 lums but throws a good beam. It's better than my little 850 lums light.

Absolutely.
I've got headlamps all over the place and use them 5-10x more often than a standard flashlight.

Hate it when someone stands there talking to you with one of those blasting in your face

Re: Flash lights
I got a streamlight from bear mountain.com. It has a 12v rechargeable battery and will set newspaper on fire! it's quite expensive but it will cause extreme envy if you show it to a cop.
