Very clean application and great utilization of space ! something for further consideration on our Van . I have always tried to have my secondary High Lift Jack in a location that is less prone to being stuck , which in my case has probably been 98.9% of the time in the rear of vehicles . Thank you for the post

I have mine mounted with the simple U bolt mounts from HiJack. No problems yet and I do like it on the side much more than behind the tire for clearance reasons.
I might also start a new thread on this very cool high lift tool I just got, called the jac-kof, no kidding!! A local shop that has a great showroom with lots of goodies for overland travel and does lots of toyota builds with land cruisers came up with this all-in-one recovery tool for the high lift jacks, picked one up yesterday. http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/pro ... detail.htm

I have an Aluminess tire holder and standard bumpers; I'm planning on mounting mine on the tire holder frame and really like some of the holders shown here, anyone knows of any commercially available gadget that will mount these jacks to the Aluminess tire rack holder.
Will a 1 3/4 tube clamp work with my Aluminess 1 7/8 tire mount tube. If not any idea where I might buy the rigth one to mount my Hi Lift. I really like the ones that completely enclose the tube v/s a U bracket.
you'll definately want the 60" for a fullsize van. 4 flat tires memorial day weekend from high speed trail running by Susanville CA. Used up two kits of tire plugs and the hilift got a workout. Was suprised how well the stock bumpers held up to the jack. Additional bumper reinforcements with some recovery points is on my list along with a 2nd spare tire.
