Thanks for clarifying, Rob. And we really appreciate the follow-up w/user ed!
If I'm inclined to be prepared for any contingency, I guess a fire/oven mitt could help me to crack the hood, maybe lifting it a smidgeon, to place/wedge in the Element (situationally recommended, it seems) during the early stage of a fire in the engine bay.

I just ordered a couple of these. If I get them in time for a Sportsmobile get together in September I'll show them around and give everyone there the website info. I think the video will convince most of them even if my talking to them isn't enough to do the job. I don't think there would be any problems with the delivery unless this sudden surge in purchases causes a backorder.
Just ordered three. Two to keep, one to put out a pan fire with just so I am comfortable with knowing how these operate.

That'd be a very generous and helpful idea if put into action. In fact I'd be willing to chip in a few dollars to partially defray the cost of the experiment.
BTW Rob if you're still monitoring this thread I've tried buying two of these but the PayPal transaction comes back as "rejected", have sent emails to your site from the Contact Us page---no replies yet.
If you could look into this I'd appreciate it---eager to have a few of these on board.
I’m in for a few.
Thank you John for bringing these to our attention and to Rob for the discount.
Very much appreciate all the information everyone has provided here.
I should probably check the dates on the extinguishers in the house while I’m thinking about this.
Just catching up after a busy weekend. We are not open on Saturday and Sunday so Monday morning is always an early start to catch up with the flood of inquires and orders.
JWA we have received your email and are looking into the PayPal issue. We'll get back to you the moment we have an answer from them.
Late last week we also had a call and subsequent order from a retired fire fighter who bought a number of Elements. He was a really knowledgeable guy and purchased a few extra that he said he'll independently test and put up some videos on YouTube in the next couple of weeks. We don't want to interfere with his process at all but talking to him I get the feeling that he really knows his stuff and will communicate his experience well with his videos. Looking forward to it.
What about kitchen grease fires? I am trying to decide how many to order and I know I want some for all my vehicles and shop (Just had a trash can fire last week from welding sparks). I am also considering some for kitchens.
