Show Me Your (rear) Bumper!

Hahah Hopefully I wont regret this!

Please Post PHOTOS of your rear bumper a/o tire mount + box, fuel, etc.

QUESTION: Re: backup visibility issues... How have you solved this with a custom rear bumper? (Rear camera, backup sensors, other)

Can't wait to see pics!

I haven't had a chance to get all of my stuff mounted on the swing arms yet but here are a couple shots of the new bumper on the Cummins van.

Does anyone give thought to the departure angle when putting a rear bumper on a EB? They already stick out so much they drag fairly easy stock. I understand with tires and lift it gets better, but still.

I don't have anything as elaborate as the usual SMB-type rear bumper, just a single package-handler step. I installed a back up camera above my rear doors (raised roof/taller doors) and it works great for me---its the Ecco brand which tend to kinda spendy but great quality.

I myself would prefer visual monitoring over sounds or sensors. Here's a link to relatively affordable rear view cameras if that would interest you AnnieO: https://www.rearviewsafety.com/backu...a-systems.html

Once on that page you can see the entire site's product offerings. They seem to have a fairly liberal return policy which is a huge benefit.

These guys seem to sell pretty much the same stuff but at higher prices: https://www.tadibrothers.com/categor...camera-systems My first and only interaction to date suggests they're a bit into the high pressure "buy it now...." approach--they'd rather you call instead of answering questions about their products.

HTH

I'd never seen Bi-LED lights before. Those are just downright... COOL!

Yeah, I thought so too! They're made for big-rigs, because most aren't built with extra cutouts for backup lights. And they're plenty bright.

I connected the bright-red to my brakes only (rather than stop/turn) so I'll have have distinct brake lights even when I'm driving with the 4-ways flashing, which I do when I'm working in the highway right-of-way. The CHSML is a little too far out of line-of-sight for drivers in cars IMO.
