Re: App
As soon as you buy each of the Site Moderators an iPhone and unlimited service.

I thought there was this thing called a "browser" that lets you look at these things call "teh Internezt", but you know I cashed out of the cell phone game awhile back.
That said the forum should be RSS feedable. I don't know what that means either, nor do I twitter. But anything that works with phpbb3 should work for/with the forum, if possibly needing some implementation from my end. Feel free to locate and suggest anything you would like to see implemented.
If somebody buys me an iPhone it probably won't help as I'll just download games all day and never get anything done. Which essentially will be exactly the same as now, but more portable.

Re: App
Would it be as simple as installing a mobile phpbb template that users could select?
Having said that, I have no trouble browsing the forum on my Droid. There's the real power of smartphones - Sportsmobiles while on the can.

Re: App
I agree, I can get to the forum via my iPhone. My former Blackberry did not make it as easy.
...but there are also different ways to get at 'places' via a smartphone.
Example:
1. I can go to ATT.com thru a browser, or I can go thru their app and thru the app it is MUCH easier and faster; it may not be full function, but gets me everywhere I want/need to go via my phone.
2. I can go to Facebook thru a browser or I can use their app. The app is much faster and easier, again not full function, but gets me most everywhere I want to go.
3. etc etc etc
Having said all that, it is far beyond my technical capabilities to talk about how that is accomplished.
I also agree that often the smartphones do get used for game playing.....
My reason for asking is really selfish I would like to stay more in touch with the forum and I think that is a way I could do it. ...and it could replace some game playing time....

Re: App
A joke huh?
Go to the appstore and get the free Read Only version of tapatalk (more info at http://tapatalk.com). You should find the forum under SportsmobileForum and SMB4UM both.
Fully App'd for the iPhone, Droid, WRT, and BlackBerry (more info at http://tapatalk.com). Thank them with your money, as the full version costs $2.99. No proceeds go to the forum (unfortunately).
Now I do want an iPhone!

Re: App
Wow..... Jage you are the man with the answers.
THis may be only the second App that I buy. At first glance it certainly looks like it will all work.
THanks !

Re: App
Jage,
Did you do something to make this work?
It is working very well. It is exactly the kind of thing I was thinking about.
Maybe it needs a little push or promotion and we would have even more traffic.
Thanks much!
